I don't know about you, but I hate cleaning house more than anything...probably because I am the world's biggest procrastinator when it comes to the matter, and so it is ALWAYS a huge job that is never finished. (I know, I know, TMI) Well, if you don't like it either, I do have something that will help a bit. :)
I got an Ipod Nano for Christmas that facilitates this, but any MP3 player will do, or maybe just a great CD collection... This is my Housecleaning Music set, and it will get you up and moving as you clean...and make the job a whole lot more fun. It is impossible for me to play these songs and not get up and dance through the chores:
Pork Chop Express -- Theme from "Big Trouble in Little China"
Goody Two-Shoes -- Adam Ant -- Antics in the Forbidden Zone
Draggin' The Line -- REM -- Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me soundtrack
Prince Charming -- Adam Ant (blame my baby sister...she turned me on to Adam decades ago -- I even went to a concert)
Word Up -- Melanie G -- Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me soundtrack
Magic Dance -- David Bowie -- Labyrinth soundtrack
Still Alive -- GlaDOS and John Coulton -- theme from Portal video game
Austin Powers (Soul Bossa Nova) -- there are several variations -- this is the theme music
Vive Le Rock -- Adam Ant (most of his songs have the right bouncy rhythym...)
Chilly Down -- David Bowie -- Labyrinth soundtrack
Friend or Foe -- Adam Ant
I'm Too Sexy -- Right Said Fred -- Up
Ant Music -- Adam Ant
They are also good walking music, but you don't have quite as much freedom for abandon on the street. :)
I plan to add to the list (all of which I got from ITunes, though some were harder to find than others) as I think of songs with the right characteristics. I know I am missing Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and Pat Benatar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" at the moment, and plan on rectifying that problem today. Oh! and I just realized that the Brobdingnagian Bards' "Hobbit Dance" will also go well. :)
If you have any suggestions or questions, comment me, and I will look into them!

Is that a cover of the Tommy James & the Shondells "Draggin' the Line"? If it is, I might have to grab it myself.
